Anne F. Kennedy

With nearly 40 years experience in marketing and public relations, Anne Kennedy founded Beyond Ink in 1997 to bring the fundamental principles of marketing communications online. She is an industry thought leader, speaking and published worldwide.

Beyond Ink is based in Portland Maine and Portland Oregon in the U.S., and via collaboration with Nordic eMarketing in Reykjavik, Iceland, has worldwide offices in Beijing, China; Helsingborg, Sweden/Denmark; London, UK; and Prague, Czech Republic.

Anne is also now launching Jobr.net Self-Service SEO with patent pending Visibility score benchmarking, in partnership with Mikkel deMib Svendsen, Jamie Low, and Beyond Ink partners Shane Borelli and Gene Ehrbar. Joblr’s mission is to make the same sound principles of search marketing available to a much wider audience of small companies and non-profits, as well as provide a unique scoring system for monitoring website visibility to all companies.

She further serves on the board of directors of Helium.com, a community of writers providing experience-based knowledge, wisdom and creativity in content for publishers and readers. Barely 18 months after launch, Helium gained 110,000 writers who have published one million articles on the site.

Anne served for several years on the Board of Directors of Mesda, now TechMaine, the state’s principal IT trade association for six years, and before that with various public relations and advertising in Connecticut and Rochester, New York.

After earning a degree in Radio, Television and Film from Northwestern University, Anne was certified an Internet Professional by Novell, Inc. Anne lives in Maine and Oregon, and can always be found at Beyondink.com or Joblr.net.

Anne has published a large number of articles and commentary on Internet marketing trends, most recently the white paper “Is Facebook a Global Player?” published November 2009. She is a guest blogger for SEarchCowboys.com in Europe and Microsoft Advertising Community worldwide. She served as technical editor for “When Search Meets Usability” by noted author Shari Thurow, published in 2009.
