Kristján Már Hauksson

Kristján Már Hauksson has organized, managed, and spoken at various successful events, from a motorcycle exhibition to outdoor concerts; and now, for 2016, Kristján will be the Conference Chair at RIMC for the 13th time.

Kristján Már is the Founder and Director of Search & Online Communications at The Engine Iceland (former Nordic eMarketing). The company specializes in multilingual online communications, organic search engine optimization and marketing through several verticals such as tourism, finance, government, and pharmaceuticals. He and his team have consulted companies ranging from small local businesses to Fortune 500 companies.

Kristján Már has served on the board of directors for SEMPO, on the advisory board for Bing advertising, and a published author on the topic of internet marketing, in 2014 he was chosen the Search Personality of the year at The European Search Awards.

Kristján studied electrical engineering at Reykjavik Technical College in Iceland, and has a degree in Systems Analysis from the Computer and Engineering Schools of Iceland. He also holds an internet marketing degree from the University of British Columbia, and a Global Marketing degree from Thunderbird University.

He currently holds the position of a Chief Operating Officer at SMFB Engine a creative digital marketing agency that is a part of the SMFB family – www.smfbengine.com.
